Dog Names

I am providing this list of Icelandic names for dogs in hopes that you will choose an Icelandic name for your puppy. I grew up in Iceland and it is important to me that we don’t loose its heritage. I have pages for Male and Female names, please let me know if you see a name that you like but is not listed for that sex and I will try to find one that fits. The ones that just say “dogs name” are the Icelandic version of Fido or Rover. Click on the Icelandic name and you can hear how to pronounce it in Icelandic. If you have a name you would like to add to the list or have something that you would like translated into Icelandic, email me and I will be glad to help. It is my hope that from these lists you will be able to find a name that fits your new family member.
